Hand Sewing & Upcycling Workshop

Come learn hand stitching techniques and how to upcycle old clothing into something new at our workshop ran by Senior in Residence Mei Choi. Topics covered will include how to do basic stitches, hand sewing, how to read and adjust sewing patterns to your needs, and you will then use these techniques to make a small fish ornament to take home.

Participants are encouraged to bring in fabric or old clothing they want to use, but fabric and all other materials will also be provided, along with access to digital sewing patterns.
