Learn to identify local city plants for use as food or fibre. Join us as we forage in the city, we may discover stinging nettle, plantain, fireweed, English ivy, blackberry or lamb’s quarters. You will learn what it means to forage and how you can harvest in a respectful manner. We will share recipe ideas, and practice techniques for harvesting fibre from the plants currently in season. We'll show samples of processed plants and end the walk with a cup of tea made with locally foraged greens. Open to all ages. Registration required. Call 604-516-6151 to register.
