Join multi-disciplinary artist and current Artist in Residence Lolu Oyedele for a two-part exploration of poetry from page to performance, targeted to young writing enthusiasts.

PART 1: What Makes Good Writing

This workshop will feature warm-up exercises followed by teachings and technique advice from inspiration, editing and refining poetry on the page.

  • Tuesday, August 15

  • 10:00am -1:30pm

  • Workshop runs for 3.5 hours,(including a 30-minute break)

Part 2: From Page to Stage

This workshop takes the work you created during day one of your workshop and explores the methods of performance including tonality, gesture, and volume to bring your poetry alive.

  • Thursday, August 17

  • 10:00am to 12:00pm

  • Workshop runs for 2 hours.
