The Mackin House Virtual Tour
Front Entrance:
Welcome to historic Mackin House, located in Heritage Square in the heart of Maillardville, Coquitlam, BC. Mackin House was built in 1909 by the lumber company at Fraser Mills as a residence for Mr. Henry Mackin, the General Sales Manager, and his family. This beautiful home was the official residence for successive senior mill managers until 1961. The City of Coquitlam acquired the house in 1970 and declared it a heritage site in 1985. The Coquitlam Heritage Society and the City chose Mackin House as the home of Coquitlam’s Museum and the society initiated a major renovation to restore Mackin House to the time period of 1909-1914, when Mr. Mackin and his family first resided there.
